Click & Frame was founded by Dr. Mani Mehrvarz in the winter of 2016, born from a deep commitment to spotlight marginalized communities and artists. While teaching documentary and video production at SUNY Buffalo, Dr. Mani connected with diverse voices, helping them share their stories through powerful, authentic filmmaking. As the demand for meaningful storytelling grew, the production company expanded beyond New York, eventually finding its center in the vibrant city of Austin, Texas, while continuing to collaborate with communities, artists, and organizations nationwide.

Dr. Mani Mehrvarz
Director
Mani Mehrvarz is a multimedia artist, filmmaker, and producer whose work blends experimental storytelling with social impact, often centering on underrepresented communities. He founded Click & Frame—originally launched as BDP in New York and rebranded in Austin, Texas. After leaving academia in 2018, he shifted focus to amplifying marginalized communities through imperatively documentary filmmaking.
Dr. Maryam Muliaee
Creative Producer
Maryam Muliaee is a media producer and artist with a background in film, documentary, and animation. As Creative Producer at Click & Frame, she brings a multidisciplinary approach to storytelling through visual design, research, and post-production. Her work spans short documentaries, animation, and collaborative media projects focused on cultural narratives and community impact.
